A Guide to The Fed's Changes and Additions to the Facilities and Comparison of Program Terms

Baker Botts will host a webinar on Tuesday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. CST discussing the new Main Street Lending Program.

Michael Torosian and Bill Stutts will present an overview of the recent guidance issued by the Federal Reserve for the Main Street Lending Program (“MSLP”).

The MSLP was created to facilitate additional credit to U.S. small and medium-sized businesses that were in sound financial condition before the COVID-19 pandemic, but that in the wake of the crisis could be impaired or destroyed, leading to longer-term economic damage in the U.S.

They will discuss the recent changes to the MSLP, including updates to the Main Street New Loan Facility and the Main Street Expanded Loan Facility and the addition of a new facility, the Main Street Priority Loan Facility, plus changes to bank regulation that influence banks’ participation as lenders in the program.
