Jonathan Kovacs

Jonathan helps public and private companies solve their most complex corporate, regulatory and transactional legal problems. He has specific experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and securities compliance issues, including Exchange Act reporting. Jonathan has represented clients across industries, including banking, sports, media, entertainment, energy, technology and private equity.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Jonathan worked as an associate at another large international law firm representing companies and institutional investors in securities offerings, alternative investments across a variety of asset classes, and general corporate and transactional matters. As a law student, he served as an intern for the Honorable Brian M. Cogan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of the Whistleblower. He also served as Managing Editor of The Tax Lawyer.
