Keith Jurek is a patent attorney with experience in a variety of intellectual property-related matters, including prosecution, strategic counseling, invention mining, due diligence, and litigation. In addition to drafting and prosecuting dozens of utility and design patent applications in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign counterparts, Keith has also represented clients during patent disputes in federal courts across the country and in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Keith is well-versed in a broad range of areas of cutting-edge technological fields including artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer graphics, computer networks and security, augmented and virtual reality, social networking, autonomous vehicles, financial and payment systems, consumer devices, medical devices, and workflow automation.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Keith graduated with a degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics, concentrating on artificial intelligence, computer vision, and algorithmic design. Keith also worked as a consultant for an educational technologies startup, providing input on legal, technical, and sales-related matters.
