Jennifer brings her years of experience in scientific research and the technology industry to Baker Botts' Intellectual Property group. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a medical device specialist and clinical engineer for a medical device company.
Jennifer's practice focuses on an array of intellectual property matters, including litigation, inter partes review, IP Due Diligence, patent drafting and prosecution, and advisory opinions. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of legal areas including patents, trade secrets, and trademarks, and has represented clients from the biotechnology, telecommunications, oil and gas, medical services, and food services industries.
Jennifer's pro bono and outreach efforts focus on the Houston community and the arts. She has worked with several clients on U.S. international copyright, trademark, and related contractual matters. In 2018, Jennifer and her team helped a Honduran woman who relocated to Houston receive asylum.
