Baker Botts Hired by GB Snowsport for Pro Bono Work

LONDON, September 12 2019 - Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, is working with the GB Snowsport (GBS) to provide pro bono legal advice in areas such as Constitutional and Governance matters, Commercial Contracts, as well as IP, Data and Privacy.

GBS is the national governing body for snowsports in the UK. It has set out a “2030 vision” for the UK to become one of the top five Olympic ski and snowboarding nations by managing elite British teams and the development pathway for those athletes. GBS selects, manages and leads British teams to international events, promotes participation in International Ski Federation (FIS) and World Para snowsports disciplines, and provides opportunities for UK athletes to achieve their full potential as individuals and as a team.

London based Corporate Partner, Neil Foster and Associate, Daniel Green, are working with GBS’ CEO, Vicky Gosling OBE, and the wider GBS Board. Vicky Gosling played a crucial executive role in the organisation and breakout success of the inaugural Invictus Games in 2014, going on to become CEO of the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando, USA.

“GB Snowsport has set out an exciting vision for the UK to be a leader in ski and snowboarding sports, and we are delighted to be working with Vicky and the Board in helping GBS achieve its goals,” commented Neil Foster.

“We are delighted to have the legal support of Baker Botts joining us on our exciting journey to take Britain to heights beyond expectations in Snowsport,” added Vicky Gosling.
