Baker Botts Debates Key Power Industry Trends at GCPA Spring Conference 2018

Media Alert
HOUSTON, April 17, 2018 - Baker Botts’ lawyers Secretary James A. Baker III, Andrea Stover, James Barkley, Brooksany Barrowes, Chris Carr and Joyce Banks will be joining with prominent industry and Government speakers to debate the latest trends and key issues concerning the electric power industry at The Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) 32nd Annual Spring Conference, Hilton Americas, Houston from April 17 – 18, 2018.

On Tuesday morning, April 17, Secretary James A. Baker III, Baker Botts’ Partner and Former U.S Secretary of State, Secretary of Treasury and White House Chief of Staff, will be giving the Keynote Address to assembled C-suite delegates from across the ERCOT/Gulf Coast region.

Transactions involving the electric power industry have been a core competence of Baker Botts for over 100 years. During that time, much of the worldwide power industry has been deregulated and privatized. Today, growing concerns about global warming promise even greater changes – more renewable generation, carbon abatement transactions and projects, and implementation of smart grid technologies.
